Position Objective
The Marketing and Events Planner is responsible for supporting the implementation of SMGs marketing and communications strategy, including, but not limited to:
All work by the Marketing and Events Planner will be guided by the Basis of Belief of the Schools Ministry Group, working co-operatively within the spirit of it.
• Facilitating and supporting the coordination of events.
• Supporting SMGs community outreach and fundraising objectives
• Assisting project management of events
• Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders
• Designing print content and signage for events
• Supporting facilitation and coordination of marketing events and exhibits
• Executing advertising strategies and design briefs
• Maintaining the integrity of SMGs Brand both internally and outwardly in the marketplace
• Engaging in market research and analysis as deemed relevant to the needs of the organisation
• Supporting the collection, collation, and analysis of stakeholder satisfaction data and trends
• Supporting the overall success of organisations Vision and Mission whilst always upholding the profession

All SMG appointments are subject to the following prior to appointment:
- Team collaboration for the continuation and review of tailor-made and innovative community event and fundraising activities strategies and tactics for promoting the SMG brand
- Implementing the designed strategy and facilitating such events in accordance with SMGs objectives
- Assist stakeholders, PCWs and the organisation in planning and facilitating events supporting fundraising initiatives, services, products, and community workshops.
- Support the development of end-to-end event management and planning
- Effective collaboration with the Business Development and Marketing team to execute organisational objectives in areas relevant to the position
- Maintain the integrity of SMG branding on all communication methodologies
- Assist the organisation with direct-mail fundraising, newsletters and other specialist direct campaigns and appeals as required
- Support the organisation with planning and implementing activities and events throughout the year
- Market Research and Data collection, collation, and analytical reporting as required
- Participate in and lead devotions and prayers at staff meetings as rostered
Essential Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a relevant or related field
- A preferred high level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Social Media Platforms, Event Management Software.
- Previous experience working for a not-for-profit organisation will be highly regarded
- Personal experience of church and denominational structures

Applicants must have:
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith and values. Applicants must be able to give adherence to the beliefs held in common by supporting churches, as stated in the Nicene Creed
- A competent level of Biblical literacy
- An active and regular involvement in a Christian community
All SMG appointments are subject to the following prior to appointment:
- Working with Children’s Check to the satisfaction of SMG
- Completion or ability to complete a Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect training (Education and Care focus) before commencement of role (SMG conducts this training regularly)
