Regional Manager

Position Objective

The purpose of the Regional Manager position is to support The Chief Executive Officer, General Manager - Chaplaincy and the SMG Board to fulfil the organisation’s strategic objectives, liaising with key stakeholders and offering high level administrative and organisational assistance in a professional, confidential and timely manner.

Job Requirements

Key areas of responsibility
  • To facilitate the appointment of Pastoral Care Workers, utilising the approved process for the establishment in Government schools in SA
  • To consult and liaise closely with Ministers’ Associations/Inter-Church groups (Support Groups) and schools in order to facilitate the appointment of Pastoral Care Workers
  • To facilitate support, training, encouragement, resourcing and pastoral care for Pastoral Care Workers
  • To deliver in-service training events for Pastoral Care Workers in close liaison with other SMG staff
  • To develop networks and support mechanisms to assist in the outworking of these tasks.
  • To promote the wider ministry of SMG at every opportunity
 
Personal Faith
Applicants must have:
  • A personal commitment to Christian faith and values. Applicants must be able to give adherence to the beliefs held in common by supporting churches, as stated in the Nicene Creed
  • An active and regular involvement in a Christian community
 
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Ministry, Business, Education or related field, or appropriate levels of experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality whilst managing competing priorities
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Current South Australian driver’s licence
