Supporting Separated Families

(In-person course on 12-Sep-2024 - 9am to 11am)

Course Description

An overview of the dynamics and choices facing newly separated families with tips on supporting children and families within the school environment.

Course Overview

Relational breakdown and separation impact families and their communities. Schools can face the brunt of the emotions and conflicts when separation is new and when child arrangements are being negotiated. This seminar will look at the common issues facing families and how you can support children and parents in the school context. It will give you a basic understanding of what children and families experience as well as information to demystify the legal process around separation.
