Sarah Reimann

Chief Executive Officer

Grad Dip Professional Accounting, MBA, Fellow IPA

Sarah commenced in her role as CEO at SMG in May 2025. A strategic and results-driven executive leader, she brings extensive experience in financial leadership, corporate governance, and
business transformation.

For 15 years, Sarah operated her own tax accounting business in North Adelaide before transitioning into CFO consultancy in 2018, where she taught and mentored CEOs and their teams on best practices in business and financial management.

Sarah is married with two daughters and two stepsons. She is an avid runner, has a passion for cooking, and loves entertaining family
and friends at home.

She has a strong belief that God directs our paths and has a purpose and plan for every aspect of our lives - whether in relationships, ministry, work, or education. Sarah also believes that the work of SMG plays a vital part in bringing positive change to young people and the community through messages of purpose, value, and hope. 

Brian Earl

General Manager: Corporate Services

BCom(Honours), CA


Brian is the General Manager: Corporate Services and has been at SMG since 2015.

Originally from South Africa, he moved to Adelaide in 2011. Married with four children, he and his family provide occasional emergency foster care to an extra child or two. Brian is a registered Chartered Accountant, and enjoys the chance to “dabble” in IT. His favourite place is the ocean, where he can enjoy the weird and wonderful creations and the serenity he finds there.

Brian believes that SMG brings Purpose, Value and Hope to young people and the wider community. 

Leah Campbell

Head of Wellbeing and Organisational change

BA Social Science (Social Welfare), Dip Counselling, Dip Youth Work, Cert IV in Career Development, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert IV in Youth Work/Juvenile Justice


Leah Campbell is the Head of Operational Change and has been with SMG since June 2022. She has a wealth of experience within the human services and educational sector including complex case management, program development/coordination, trauma informed practice, child protection, disability, counselling and family mediation.

Leah is a mother, loves working with Kimochis and really enjoys working with children and young people. She strongly believes that encouraging values of respect and compassion, as well as working within a strength-based and client-centred environment, is extremely rewarding and very productive. 

Our Board

Melanie Schmidtke

Melanie is the current SMG Board Chair.
Melanie brings with her over 23 years experience across the health and community services sectors as a clinician, project manager, and the last 16 years in management, executive board roles.
She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology, a Masters in Health Service Management, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Melanie draws on her skills as an influential collaborator and people investor to create successful partnerships. She has a passion for supporting young people to build their resilience and develop the skills they need to navigate the complexities of today's world.

Andreas Konrad

Andreas joined the SMG Board in May 2022.

Andreas is married with two adult children, and they attend their local Lutheran Church.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant. Andreas is currently working in the wine industry and has previously worked in packaging, medical and the auto industries.

Andreas believes it is important to contribute and hopes that he will be able to do this at SMG and through the wonderful work they do.

He hopes to see SMG grow across more school networks through the impact of education programs and PCW work.  

Joel Callander

Joel joined the SMG Board in October 2023. He is married and has one “much loved” dog Monte.

Joel’s experience with SMG began as a chaplain in one of our High Schools. He currently works in the finance sector and has qualifications and experience in executive leadership, business, and program and change management.

Joel believes that everyone should develop and use the gifts God has given them, and hopes that we can continue to build on the success of SMG.

Andy Steere

Andy is married with two teenage children, and an active member of his local Baptist church.

Andy and his family returned to Adelaide in 2019 after a decade in East Africa where they were medical humanitarian workers at Kijabe Hospital.

Andy has undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in engineering, physics, and theology. He runs a management consulting practice in Adelaide.

Andy is passionate about supporting young people to be mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy humans, and feels privileged to support the work of SMG as a non-executive director.
