Graham Stephenson

Chief Executive Officer

Graham Stephenson joined the SMG board of directors in late in 2019. His background includes IT, Telecommunications, Marketing and Insurance.

Graham is passionate about SMGs vision of Purpose, Value and Hope and will bring a fresh approach to broadening the footprint of the organisation.

Having served on the SMG Board for the last 4 years, he comes to the role with a passion for the team and a solid understanding of the organisation.

With over 10 years senior leadership experience, Graham brings with him the wisdom, experience and capabilities to generate strategies for new revenue generating transformation for long-term financial sustainability.

Graham is a result focused, strategic leader with the highest level of integrity and ethical standards. He will drive a clear vision to build on the core values that underpin SMG, and is ideally suited to lead our organisation into the future.

Peter Skurray

Head of Customer: Pastoral Services

BA, Grad Dip Counselling, Cert IV Life Coaching Peter has been with SMG since 2008, initially as a Regional Manager and currently as the General Manager of Chaplaincy.

He is married with three adult sons and their families, expanding the Skurray name! Peter is also a mentor, coach and psychotherapist to men in relationships and business. He has provided mentoring and pastoral care to managers and employees in the manufacturing industry, plus many years of church leadership.

Peter loves to see the positive difference SMG make to SA school communities, and his desire is to inspire and influence others to thrive.

Brian Earl

Chief Operating Officer

BCom(Honours), CA
Brian is the General Manager of Corporate Services and has been at SMG since 2015.

Originally from South Africa, he moved to Adelaide in 2011. Married with four school age children, he and his family provide occasional emergency foster care to an extra child or two.

Brian is a registered Chartered Accountant, and enjoys the chance to “dabble” in IT.

His favourite place is the ocean, where he can enjoy the weird and wonderful creations and the serenity he finds there.

Brian believes that SMG bring Purpose, Value and Hope to young people and the wider community. He also provides further support, within a school setting, by being on the Board at Pilgrim School.

Leah Campbell

General Manager: Wellbeing and Education

BA Social Science (Social Welfare), Dip Counselling, Dip Youth Work, Cert IV in Career Development, Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert IV in Youth Work/Juvenile Justice

Leah Campbell is the General Manager of Wellbeing and Education, and was appointed in June 2022. She has a wealth of experience within the human services and educational sector including complex case management, program development/coordination, trauma informed practice, child protection, disability, counselling and family mediation.

Leah is a mother, loves working with Kimochis and really enjoys working with children and young people. She strongly believes that encouraging values of respect and compassion, as well as working within a strength-based and client-centred environment, is extremely rewarding and very productive.
